Family Safety Day With San Diego Moms Blog

Would you know what to do if your child or spouse quit breathing?  How about if your child had an allergic response to something, fell in a pool, was confronted by an angry animal or approached by a stranger?  The goal of the Family Safety Day, created by the San Diego Moms Blog, is to immerse you and your family with safety information and demonstrations covering all bases so that it’s a one stop shop for information while having some fun!

This event will be on Sunday, March 25th from 11am-4pm at the Village - Pacific Highlands Ranch. Throughout the day, we will have various activities scheduled to keep you entertained and educated!

Among the organizations who will be present with information and demonstrations: Children's Physicians Medical Group, San Diego Police Department, San Diego Fire Department, Helen Woodward Animal Center, The American Red Cross.

San Diego Police Department– Of course they will be there with a police car, potentially a K9, and so much information about all types of safety for families. This will be a hands on type of experience for the kiddos too!

Helen Woodward Animal Center will be there giving out information on animal safety. They will be bringing out some of their animals for the kiddos to have some hands on interaction with them which will help kiddos really soak in the safety information that they will be handing out.

The American Red Cross will be there with a ton of information! They will be allowing families to sign up for free smoke detector installation, hands only CPR demonstrations, and evacuation plan information for families in case of emergencies! What an amazing resource!

The San Diego Fire Department will be bringing a fire truck for the kids to explore (from 1-2:30pm only) and other information for fire safety.

The Village at Pacific Highlands Ranch, is hosting the event which will take place in their outdoor shopping.
